Good Spirit

Little did I realised that I can buy good spirit for just a mere RM2.90.. Read on...

As I was in a very lousy mood last week, I decided to look for something to cheer up my drooping sprit and boy was I glad to come across something cheap and not only it cheer me up, it also helped in my other problem of bad hair day..

heheheh....Anyway, this is what I bought:

I don't know what this is called but it has been in market for years...For RM2.90, I got a pair of 1 big and 1 small loop. All you have to do is tie up a ponytail, poke in the gadget in between the tied ponytail, push the ponytail into the loop and pull the tail...and this is what u get:

That's not the end of it.....After trying several times, I have decided to go a step further by reading it's instruction (Since it claimed that I can do up several patterns on my hair with that 2 loops....)

No wonder it is so cheap because it's actually meant for ladies working in toilets in China......Not just any normal toilets, mind you...A QUICK one!!!!!!! Hahahahahahahaah

And the loops should not be brought out cos it's meant to be homebound unless u want to take part in an evening party or u r out working as a toilet cleaner!!!!!!

Conclusion - Only toilet cleaners in China can go our for an evening party!!!

A good one.

5 more days to KL

New Look - MSN

Thanks to Mr Pinkcotton, I found out that there is a new version of msn messenger. Nothing changes except a more nicer presentation and now I can msn to a contact who is not online...

Check out my msn new outlook:

My lunch at Elephant:

Pan Fried Fish Cajun

Lemon Mango (hehehe, forgot to align the pix properly....never mind lah, that's the result of a moody mng)

Moody MNG on nonsense post

Beware! MNG is not in good mood today, so anything she writes today might not be pleasing to some people but what the heck, that's Life!!! (Note: Don't start to be curious and bribe just anyone I know to find out the reason why)

Nah, that's not me.... I write to express my feelings, especially good ones cos I can always come back another time to read and be pleased with it....If I write anything hurtful and have it saved, it will always be there and I will always be reminded of it everytime I visit Papercrazy....

This reminds me of an email (or rather a Powerpoint presentation) sent to me on keeping the good things but chucked away any bad experiences towards a friend....Shucks! Cudn't find it liaw....I promise to post it once I've found it (Note: This just a promise hoh, no time frame given on when I'm gonna post it!!!)

The Sarawak Club fire
Received a very funny yet good-for-thought sms from a friend who believed that the fire cud be caused by some spiritual upset....Afterall, it's the beginning of the Chinese 7th Month and this month is dedicated to all the hungry ghosts!!!
Spooky

Clearance Sale
Anyway, I was doing a bit of house ransacking spring-cleaning last night and I realised that I have lots and lots of still-usable/good condition items that is of no use to me liaw....so, a clearance sale came into my mind after noticing how saleable are the McD's toys....What?? Thot I heard someone calling me Kiam-siap, and I shud have given away stuff for free like Primroses instead of selling them??? (Apologies if no one says that lah....feelings unstable, affected by the DUN seating....)

Ok, why I want to sell??? 1st, they are all in very good condition, 2ndly, I'm thinking of raising funds for a charitable organisation of which I am a member (Society of St Vincent de Paul)...I'm yet to work out the proceeds quantum to be given lah but definitely will be more than 50% lah...:-) and 3rdly, I am not as generous as Primroses (She's one in a million)

Check out in another week/s

Hair Salon
Just received a call from my ever-faithful hair stylist informing me that he will no longer operate from his shop at wef 1 August and faxed me a copy of house map where he will do his business...
1st, I am never familiar with that area,
2nd, I'm always sceptical about home-based hair salons (hehehe)
3rd, I normally cut my hair during lunch or after office hours, so that area is a No-No as it is a heavily-jammed place

Any recommendatios for a new hair stylist to me then??? Junoesque - Not yours...cudn't afford to share a hair stylist with the CM....

I need a haircut badly, so I need a recommendation pretty quick.....I look like a Medusa now....

Weekend is approaching and I'm helping a friend to shop for a handphone at Wisma Saberkas tomorrow....So charitable me hoh??

My 6-year old alarm clock died on me this morning....It stopped at 12.45 midnight. Thank God for A knocking profusely from the toilet door, else I'll only be coming down to work at 9am!!!

Wow!! I never realised that I can write so much when I'm in a sucking low mood....What??? I thot I heard another voice wishing that I'll always be in a bad mood so that I'll write more???? I think I'm going crazy.....keep on hearing voices eh??? Reminds me of the Ikea Advert over Mix.fm I'm sure the bunch of kids with 2 hours lunch break will love this entry today!!!!!!!

Lunch at Elephant afterwards....Gonna order my baked fish on chese thingy

Lunch's hour Gossip

This is what I have for lunch today:

Chix rice tapau-ed from the next door coffee shop and eating alone in my room while surfing the net. Fun!

U all heard about the fire at Sarawak Club?? isk isk isk *shake head* Very extensive. I passed by the main road this morning on my way to work and was trying hard to think of what was happening. As usual, my imagination get the best of me and I concluded that there could be a bomb in either the Club or Civic Centre, or maybe there were someone attempting suicide at the look-out point of the Civic Centre.....The road to the Club was blocked by 2 police cars and 1 stupid Volvo still drove towards the direction...The driver had to turned back and make a U-turn instead after being reprimanded by the Police (Face like pau!)

Photos received from Pinkcotton (Note: I don't think she took the photos...must be courtesy from somebody)

McDonald's Clearance Sale

U must be wondering how McD can do a clearance sale, right??? Perhaps they are getting rid of their expired beef patty or the fries or the buns??? Nah....they are actually doing a Malaysia Mega Sale clearance sale on all it's premium gifts.....Any 2 types for just a mere RM3. Since I am so generous today, I risked the consequences of breaking my resolution by buying RM9 worth of toys for kids that I know, including myself!!! Ok, who can resist such good offer???

I did not notice this counter until I went to wash my hands after eating the 2-pc chicken (I know, I know, I broke another resolution liaw - spending unnecessary on good meals) We earlier saw a man seated behind us with a whole big plastic bag of the toys and we were thinking that he is either a nerd or he has strings and strings of kids at home.... We had the last laugh afterall..

Ok, this is what's left after becoming a Santa Clause for 2 minutes:

And No, the partly hidden calculator and keyboard is not part of the toys!!

I'm not too sure whether the 2 McD frequently visited customers (Pinkcotton and RedSponge) are aware of this. If Not, U 2 better hurry!!!!!!!!!

Btw, the staff is so ever friendly she even took the trouble to go into the store and took out several new items for me to choose.....

My Office Server SUCKS BIG TIME

I'm getting really, really , really pissed off with our server in the office...The intermittent connection is worse than the Chipsmore advertisement... Now u see, now u don't....Even my msn friends are getting frustrated with their constant pop-up box saying "MNG has just signed in" and then while we were so engrossed chatting, suddenly there are silence from one side only to realised that the connection has been fuckingly rudely terminated

Talk about broadband, this is even worse than my home's manual connection where u dial 1515 and wait for the connection sound....Ahhhhhhh, for once in many many years, I miss that!!!

What we did now is whenever the connection is back, we'll quickly go to our outlook express to receive/send emails quickly and at the same time, quickly log on to msn and quickly say whatever we want before the connection fails us again....As I am typing this, there have been a total of 4 termination and 3 connection.....ok, 4 connections liaw, I'm back live again but don't know for how long!!!!!!!!!

So, in reply to my yesterday's blog - Sorry guys, can't post the photos as yet. Wait until our connection is stable, then we'll talk abt that again...

Dad & Mum's Wedding Anniversary

Brought my camera to the office to have the photos downloaded yesterday but never got the time to do it in view of the overflowing of works, brought again today and as I was about to connect the cable, I realised that I brought the wrong usb cable... ^*&^%$*$ I didn't realise that the usb cable for the digicam and palm are different...Who is that clever asshole who created so many sizes of cables??????

Anyway, let's not get excited, shall we?? I shall only write then...Don't blame me, it's not my fault....Blame the manufaturer of Nikon coolpix digicam who made their cable's input so much smaller than the standard ones....

All's well ends well. Brother Bear and wife left for Singapore last Sunday evening (and A left for KL the same day). We had great fun, great gathering and most of all, great company.

The family photo session was on Friday evening and it turned out ok (Junoesque - I did not have my hair cut short as there is not enough time). Just had my hair trimmed and washed and then off to the studio (half an hour late as A finished work late)

Saturday morning - The big day. Went to Chapel for the thanksgiving mass at 10.00am.....Mum in her wedding dress and Dad in his mao tze tung chinese collared blazer....Everyone said mum looks like me in her wedding dress!!! The Mass was well attended and Fr Simon was the main celebrant with Fr david concelebrated the mass....All ended at about 11am and off to lunch at Mum's friend kopitiam (A,
Pink & J went for a detour to KFC)

What do I have to say about the dinner????? Good food, good ambience and above all, good mc. Vivian was very professional and spontaneous and everyone enjoyed her humour and professionalism. Oh, the cake did not arrive until 1 hour later...Mum was panic and asked me to call the bakery who promised to deliver within half an hour and he sure did but with a very apologetic smile.....Dad was agitated and vowed to give the baker a good hard time the next day as well as asking for a good discount...Anyway, dad & mum had the last laugh afterall when they went home and realised that they gave the baker the wrong delivery date instead...So, there.

So, that's about all....I'll try to upload the photos tomorrow and if you all promise to be good, I'll post some here for your viewing.

Resolutions

I'm going to erase everything in my mind and replace them with this logo between now and 5 August 2006......

Resolutions made between TODAY and 5 August 2006:
(I shall endevour to keep all the resolutions that I have made and should I fail in keeping them, may I be strucked with endless farting until the day I fly to KL)

1) I shall not buy any dresses, blouses, skirts, pants, undies, shoes, bras, lingeries in any of the shops in Kuching

2) I shall not spend my money on good food be it for lunch, dinner or supper so that I have enough money to spend on food in KL (especially food at Secret Recipe...:-)

3) I shall not hang around the shopping complexes in Kuching unnecessarily

4) I shall not withdraw any money from the bank between now and 5 August and to make do with whatever amount that I have in my purse now

5) I shall not buy any craft materials be it from the local store or internet since I'm visiting Papier at The Curve

Signed, MNG

5 Resolutions should be easy to keep, right? right? right??????? I hope so......
Hey, u all have to help me, k? Don't ask me out between now and 5 August. If you are not willing to do it for me, at least do it for yourself...Remember, I'm heavily gassed with Sulphur (or izzit ammonia???)

Pasta ala MNG

GoooooooooooooooooooooooooD Morning

Had another late night sleep again last nite, No, Junoesque I DID NOT DO ANYTHING KINKY...I volunteered to do a nice guest list for my parents' wedding anniversary dinner tomorrow....(Shucks! I forgot to take a picture of it....)

I'm taking half day leave this afternoon to have my hair cut and washed for the family photo taking this evening...Gonna wear a while blouse and dress but A said I don't really look good in black...Too bad, I have to wear black cos I don't have any other colour...I love black and I can sleep and eat and shit and whatever in BLACK!!! (Note to myself: This blog is not about Black...Talk about Black on a later blog)

2 evenings ago, I decided to go Italian for dinner and instead of going to Bella Italia or Beccari, I decided to cook it myself....

Presenting to you Penne Carbonara ala MNG, and as usual, I always customised my cooking (Ingredients as indicated in Black is the original whereas orange indicates MNG's extra/version):

Ingredients:
1 pkt of pasta of your choice (here I used Penne)
Strips of bacon
1 carton of thick or double cream (I sub it with low fat fernleaf milk)
4 egg yolks
Butter
Parmesan cheese (No time to buy, so I just use cheddar)
Fish Fillet (Dory)
Garlic, chopped finely

Method:
Heat butter in a pan, put in garlic, bacons and fish, fry till brown, add in milk and let it boil on high heat. Reduce fire and simmer for 20 mins, add in cheese, egg yolks and seasoning.

Put a pot of water to boil with a little bit of olive oil, put in your choice of pasta and let it cook according to instruction. Mix well with the sauce and serve hot....sprinkle a generous helping of parmesan cheese and eat quickly while it's hot.

It tasted so good and creamy...Wud love to cook it again but I guess it will not be in a near future....I underestimate the expanded size of the penne and both A and I had to finish it in 3 parts, Dinner, Supper and Snacks. We had too much of Italy over 1 night that I now speak, sleep, dress, breathe, shit and think like Italian! Mama Mia! Ciao!

p/s You all might think that I am such a glutton and I should have shared with the needy, right?? Actually I did extend a last minute invitation to somebody but she was too occupied with something else. Sorry T, I shud have called you too!!! I hope the picture that I sent you last night did not cause you gastroenteritis...

I know, I know, I have not been updating my blog since Monday...Am so tired after a hectic day at work. Things all happended at the same time and I m now exhausted from running between 2 offices, chairing 2 meetings within 1 hour, talking both on the phone and msn at the same time, blah blah blah blah.....

On a lighter side of things, brother bear is coming back today with the wife for our parents' wedding anniversary do this Saturday, we are taking a family photo tomorrow and the big bash on Saturday will definitely wear us out....

Dad & Mum will be celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary on 26 July 2006 but they decided to celebrate early due to some unforseen circumstances :- There will be a thanksgiving mass followed by the renewal of vows...I shall do a coverage on that and I'm sure Pinky will do likewise.

Oh, it's a blessing in disguise that I did not go for Jim Brickman's concert as A just told me that we'll only be flying to KL on the 1310hrs flight and by the time we reach KL, it will be too late to catch a bus to Genting, wait for the cable car, waiting to be check-in to the hotel, shower, put on some make-up, dress-up for Jim Brickman and rush down to Arena of Stars in high heels and overly-dressed baju....So, tell me, do u think I'll have time???

Mystery of a Missing icons

Perhaps this is one of the sign to tell me not to go for the Jim Brickman's recital in Genting on 5 August 2006.

1st, I had a dream over the weekend. In my dream, I flew to KL and to my horror, I reliased that I did not book a hotel for my stay, either at Genting or KL and I have to sleep at the kaki-lima..

I woke up the next day with cold sweat and heart palpitation and promised myself that I'll book my Jim Brickman's tickets and room the first thing on Monday morning...

Come Monday, I tried frantically on the Room Package Menu at Genting's website and I can never find any button for me to click on the book.....Even my distressed call to Genting Sales Office and Pinky Cotton doesn't help at all....Everyone can see the Book button except me!!! Am I out of my mind or Mr Jim Brickman is trying to tell me something???? Call me superstituous or crazy but this is really happening!!!!

Check this out: the 1st screeen is from Pink Cotton's pc whereas the 2nd one is mine

Love & Madness goes together

Found this in my email today and thought that I might as well share it with you since it's so appropriately termed....

"A long time ago, before the world was created and humans set foot on it,

God had put all the human "qualities" in a separate room.

Since all the qualities were bored they decided to play hide & seek.

"Madness" was one of the qualities and he shouted: "I want to count, I
want to count!"

And since nobody was crazy enough to want to seek "Madness", all the
other qualities agreed. So "Madness" leaned against a tree and started
to count: "One, two,three..."

As "Madness" counted, the qualities went hiding.

"Treason" hid in a pile of garbage..

"Lie" said that it would hide under a stone, but hid at the bottom of
the lake. And Madness continued to count "... seventy nine, eighty,
eighty one..." By this time, all the qualities were already hidden
except "Love ". For stupid as "Love" is, he could not decide where to
hide. And this should not surprise us, because we all know how
difficult it is to hide "Love".

"Madness": "...ninety five, ninety six, ninety seven..." Just when
"Madness" got to one hundred........."Love" jumped into a rose bush
where he hid.

And Madness turned around and shouted: "I'm coming, I'm coming!"

As Madness turned around, "Laziness" was the first to be found,
because "Laziness" was too lazy to hide. "Madness" searched madly and
found "Lie" at the bottom of the lake. One by one, Madness found them
all except Love. Madness was getting desperate, unable to find Love.

Envious of Love, "Envy" whispered to "Madness" "You only need to find
Love, and Love is hiding in the rose bush."

"Madness" Jumped on the rose bush and he heard loud cry. The thorns in
the bush had pierced "Loves" eyes. Hearing the commotion God came into
the room and saw what had happened. He got very angry and cursed
"Madness" and said since "Love" has become blind because of u ...u
shall always be with him" And so it came about that from that day on,

"Love is blind and is always accompanied by Madness!

How does it feel being Ah Kong & Ah Mah

Congrats to L & T who have been promoted to Ah Kong & Ah Mah this morning with the birth of 5 tiny hamsters

It's first picture was put on live this morning by the Ah Kong and boy am I thrilled to be given the viewing rights! (Imagine the thrill of People's Magazine when they were given the publishing rights on 1st releases of Shiloh Jolie-Pitt's photos) (Note: Remember to separate the mother from its babies and don't touch the babies cos it might stop the mother from taking care of its kids)

Anyway, hamsters reminded me of those times when my sister was so obssessed with hamsters that everytime her birthdays/christmas comes, she'll asked for any hamsters-related gifts......from the house extensions to it's wheels to maze and whatnot..Nevertheless, sad to say, the hamsters doesn't have a very good ending with the last one been crippled and deprived from it's fluffy fur and our visit to a vet doesn't help at all.... The vet even called the hamster monster!! what monstrosity!!

(Updated 13 July 2006: I've been sued for indiscriminate posting of a photo and I'm asked to to do a public apology on this....Okay, My sincere apologies to PinkCotton for stealing her photo and claimed to be from my e-pal....hehehe....Anyway, to make up to her, let me re-arrange my post)

I'm doing some spring cleaning of my pictures' folder in my pc and thought I might share with you some.

Another Rojak

For those who have been eagerly waiting to see the invitation cards that I've made for my parents' wedding anniversary, please click here. This is my other Home where I keeps all my cards and other workcrafts..

Last Saturday, being a matured and sophistical lady I am, I actually bought and presented a basket full flowers to a couple friend on their special occasion...... It was so pretty that I have 2nd thought in giving it away, so for not being a sour grape, I was given the 'permission' to take its pictures as memory lor.... (just kidding yeah!)

Anyway, sharing with you the flowers:

The Bouquet

Close-up pix of a daisy

Close-up pix of 1 of the 2 lilies (Like it so much that I used it as my handphone wallpaper as well as my msn icon)

Papercrazy's 1st birthday

It's Papercrazy 1st birthday today and I'm writing my 365th day entry.....

It is exactly one year ago I started my 1st post. I know nuts about blogging and bloggers and blogs and what not until once-a-very-good-friend introduced it to me....and then I introduced it another friend and the 3 of us started blogging ever since...His blog was one of the very interesting blogs that I read without fail everyday. Sadly, he has not been writing since last year for a reason only he alone knows but even then, I still visit his blog and read his past posts....

Has not been hearing from him or meeting him (though we try) but I'm sure he's happy with his present situation though we were told that he has just lost the most valuable gift that he ever had and my heart goes out for him....

I was busy playing guessing game yesterday with a friend who has just started her own business but refuse to tell me what line is she in.......Instead, she's going to give me hint by hint and see how clever am I in breaking it.....What? She tot I am Professor Robert Langdon ah????

As usual, I'm burning the midnite oil again in getting the cards ready.....Finally, finished all the 60 cards last night, with the help of assistants and apprentices...A certain apprentice was too stressed out with her role of cutting ribbons and pasting double sided tape that she had gastric attack. Also, I have to trimmed short 4 of my fingernails in order to have a better grip in tying the ribbons.. *sob sob*

Rojak Blogs

What have I been up to this past and present week:

1) Change my blog's template....

2) Gave away my newly adopted Cuddles (U wud know what it is if you have been visiting my blog regularly)...For those 1st timer, sorry.....too sad to mention...*sob*sob*

..............

.............

............

............

Alright, I changed my mind. Cuddles is a virtual cat that I took in to my virtual home....Apparantely, my quiet home is not used to cuddles running around so it went on strike and upset my whole furniture and furnishing.....So, I was given the ultimatum - either to give away cuddles or to have a messy home....After days and days of sleepless nights, I have made up my mind not to make any decision...I gave up both....No cuddles and I refurbished my whole home, thus the new template lor...:-)

3) In the middle of doing a project - 60 handmade cards for my parents' wedding anniversary invites..Shall post them in my other home once it's done.

4) Admiring my craft materials that I bought from Singapore.....Not willing to store them away as yet.... (It reminds me of when we were young after receiving our christmas pressies.....My sisters, brother and I will keep our pressie next to our bed and will look at it every night before we sleep for at least a week before we decided to store them away in their respective storage!!)

5) I'm taking on another staff's work as she is on maternity leave. Too little work in the office to hire a temp. (Oh yes, I'm a proud 'grandmother' of a healthy baby girl....My accounts clerk delivered a baby girl on 30 June 06)......After a week of doing her job, I realised that I enjoy doing clerical works than management....Perhaps I should ask my boss to demote me yeah??? But Boss, just in case u r reading, I still want my room and my salary, yes??
