Happy Labour's Day

It's gonna be a long holiday (2 days are considered long for me lah...) but I guess a certain individual is enjoying an even longer holidays.....

Why are we celebrating Labour Day? Switzerland is not....Why is it called Labour Day?? Is labour day similar to labour pain?? hehehe...I know, I know, I'm talking crap here..

I'm full of craps of late....so let's talk crap..

Everyone is either on or going on a holiday....lokter is now enjoying herself in an almost-everyday raining city and she's enjoying herself eating tons and tons of oysters...made me jealous

People has been talking about KK and are trying to make me sulk and cry for being the only one who has never been to KK.....I'm so travel deprived and I am sad.....

Back to Labour Day holiday...I am going to be locked up in a room full of funny people for the AGM...and I seriously hope I will not be elected as the Secretary....I don't think I can take on another important profile, not with my present work committment....The only thing I am looking forward to would be the lunch..:-)

can't think of anymore craps...guess that's all.

Food

A long outdated post and I think the other side has posted them up long before...

Last Friday, we whom should not be revealed took half a day off for an important mission, ie food binge......

We started out tour by visiting Mr Ho's......Am happy with my choice of food and drink..I had this

Mr Ho's Laksa RM15.90 - he uses pasta instead of beehoon or the yellow noodles......Ingredients were fabulous and it includes his signature dish, the crispy pork and char siew......Yummy though a bit spicy...

I noticed a drink called Bundaberg Sarsaparilla..Sound so liquor-like to me but my adventurous side get the better of me and I ordered it....and I like it a lot......taste a bit like rootbeer and it's not that sweet....nice and it's only RM5....A bottle of Bundaberg can fill up 2.5 glass....worth it is it not??? At least much much worth it as compared to somebody's duhhh Ribena Sprite!


We rested for awhile after lunch and then hop on to the newly opened Secret Recipe.....



Since we are still full and since most of the food is still not available, we settled for these...

And my caffe mocha..... (stoopid blogspot....cannot download.....guess u have to use your imagination nia lor) No diff from the oreo blah blah blah except mine came with froth....

We ordered 2 slices of cake...(Managed to post only 1 cos blogspot photo uploader failed on me after that)

Can't remember what cakes were that cos they kept on coming back to us after each order and said they ran out of the cakes and it continued until the 4th time....Bad publicity is it not??

Overall, I am very dissapointed with my favourite Secret Recipe...To start of, they haven't got my cordon bleu.....Service is lousy though the staff tried their very best to stay friendly...Several people actually went in, sat down, checked the menu and left....

Leggy went the same evening and got away with free meals.....No, No, before you all start to rush down to SR thinking there is a free food promo, hold your horses.....Apparantely the food that she ordered was not cooked properly and was still frozen in the inside....so there you have it....

Food business is never easy.......And the most important lesson here - if you are still shorthanded, DO NOT open for business as yet...First impression counts!

Being a hot and humid saturday evening, A and I decided to check out the snow ice place near our house where the 2 lil girls have visited....

Interior is nice though a bit noisy with mandarin speaking girls and boys obviously were having a birthday party for their friend....I ordered the green tea snow ice and A, as usual, his coffee snow ice.....Very very cooling and cheap, I must say!

Lousy week

This has not been a good week, to me that is....


Never ending auditors' final queries before the presentation meeting, problems at the site that is not even within my jurisdiction and yet it fell on my lap, constant losing at Bookworm and several bad dreams that I had...Don't come near me at the moment cos I might transfer some of my misfortunes to you...


Among all the dreams that I had, the most scary one was about me losing my car....It was so real and I woke up with cold sweat! For those who doesn't really know about me, I will freak out over just any tiny weeny things about my car....and of course, the freak incident few years back doesn't help in solving this problem.....nevetheless, I dreamt I drove my car to my parents' house and park right next to A's car...Dad heard a loud noise outside and being Dad, he went out to check and came in telling me that my car was missing.....I ran out and search frantically for my car but to no avail and I recalled me sitting on the curb right outside the main gate and cried!! Hah! Let's think positive...like I've told lokter, maybe it's time for me to buy 4D....:-)


When your mood is down, everything seems to go on strike on you too....To start of, we went to a buffet dinner on Monday and went home cooking Indomie Mee Goreng....We asked for a customised buffet dinner at RM20 per pax as a farewell dinner to the Philippines Priest and I tell you, the buffet doesn't even deserved a cent! Imagine, no re-fill or whatsover....Aiyoh....even cheap vege like Cangkuk Manis was not refilled....and I ended up eating the miserable spicy fried yellow noodles with bean sprouts..Yucky! That explained why the noodles was the only dish available then.....An uncle saw what happened and asked the waiter whether a re-fill is on the way..They answered yes and we waited until our plates were dried up and fruits were gone....Btw, I am never a big eater and here I am, complaining


The next day, the gang went to Bella Italia to celebrate A and my belated birthday....Food as usual, very dissapointing...Even my alfredo doesn't look the same like before and the funghi is just to pathetic....

Soggy and tasteless




If there is one thing I am terrified of, it's the bees and wasps.....Few evenings ago, as I was doing my work, I suddenly noticed some flying objects right outside my window....I looked up and to my horror, there were at least thousands of bees surrounding my window....Thank goodness there is no opening outlet where the bees might enter my room or else I would have fainted there and then.....Anyway, the pix below was taken with so much courage...It still freaks me whenever I look at this pix..Call me a chicken or coward but that's me....Had bad childhood experience....

The pix doesn't really show that many right....but trust me, there were lots!

Btw, Secret Recipe is opened for business and I am definitely going.....

and I still owe somebody a tag....sori, how can I talk about the fav food in Kuching with all the bad experiences I had on food......

Are We Poor?

"Hey papercrazy! How's yr wekend?" A friend asked yesterday...."weekend?" I replied.....For once in many many years, I have nothing to brag about my weekend...

I was sent to Obedience School for the whole of Saturday and Sunday...learning the ways to say bad words and can get away with it...Heheh....Attended a Seminar on poverty organised by SSVP and the speaker was air flown (sound so like sausages and hams and wat nots that was airflown from australia) from the Philippines... His talks were good and enriching, the only problem we had was his pronounciation....I seriously hope the native members understand what he was saying throughtout the 2-day seminar...All our meals for the 2 days were taken care off, from breakfast to tea breaks to lunch to tea break again to dinner.....

At the end of the day, this is what we have learnt:

1) Our hardcore poor is far more fortunate than the poor in the Philippines...

2) We don't get to see people living at the Trienekens dumpsite or along the railway track....

4) We don't get to meet people whose job is to savage whatever is in the dumpsite and sell them to earn a living...

5) We also don't get to see the children turning the dumpsite into a playground

6) We don't get to hear a landslide caused by the stacks and stacks of rubbish

Aren't we fortunate?? So, the next time we complained about what we dun have, think about the poor in the Philippines....

On a lighter side of things, all these above are FUCK oopsss...sorry, FACT (You would know what I mean if you are well versed with the Philippines' pronounciation...:-)

It's Friday the 13th today.....yeah, it's a friday, and it's the 13th day of the month....So, what is si special about this day???? Why musn't u cross a black cat today? Or walk underneath a staircase???

I can still remember very well how my youngest sister used to re-act whenever she saw the picture of Freddie Kruger in Nightmare in Elm Street....She was just about 5 or 6 years old then and she would freak out just by looking at his picture or anything that resembles him....I was even banned from wearing my red and black striped T-shirt then cos she would freak out whenever I wear it! hahahah

Happy Easter everyone

The harvest is great but the labourers are few....Am sure you all have heard of this bible quotes.....This post shall be The food is great but the money is few...Have been on a nonstop food binge for the past few weeks and I have to say my purse is getting thinner and thinner as a result of this...Birthdays after birthdays and just the thought of birthday cakes now can literally send me off to Planet Mars...

Okie dokie....let's start with 29/03/2007. Birthday dinner at Le Yue Chinese Restaurant. A new chinese restaurant with fabulous ambience, reasonably price food and superb customer service....as a matter of fact, we were so impressed with the restaurant that we went back there again 3 days later!!!

Even the business card is so nice....

This is a must-try dish...some seafood on sizzling plate....eggs are used as its base and the sauce is so yummy....



Another must try dish - prawn balls in wasabi sauce.....We had this during our 2nd visit and I did not manage to snap any pixs then...

31/03/2007. Off to Elephant Cafe & Bistro to celebrate A's pre Birthday dinner.....No pictures taken but I had the crispy deepfried chicken and it was yummy.....



01/04/2007. Dinner again and this time it's mum's pre birthday dinner....a lousy place so I shall not blog about it...No one will actually blog about a restaurant that uses cheap pink plastic plates as serving plates and a pink blanker-look-a-like as table cloth....If i dun know Pink Cotton well, I would have thought she runs the restaurant cos everything is pink!!!

03/04/2007. Mum's actual birthday...Brought her to Causeway Bay in HongKong for some timsum breakfast


HongKong is a very busy and fast paced city.....We can't stand the traffic that we quickly board a plane back home immediately after breakfast...

Hehehehe....It's actually another new eatery in Kuching, just next to Le Yue Restaurant...Tim sum just so-so but we were terrified with one of their new staff...apparantely he just started work on that day and I tell you, his look can actually kill a whole neighbourhood of people.



03/04/2007 evening. Went to Magenta to celebrate A's birthday...Another very nice eatery with nice ambience....The restraurant is housed in a colonial time malay typed house...

That's all about food....On a separate issue, I went for a hairwash during lunch just now cos I don't have time to wash my hair last nite and it's getting very irritating...(I wash my hair everyday!) and look what I have bought...




I promised I am going to be very hardworking and diligent in using these haircare.....


Last but not least, I am extremely happy and relived to receive a note from a long lost friend.....I know that friend is reading my blog now....All I can say is Hey Flen, thanks for thinking of of us, we are glad you are ok and just to let you know that you are in our thoughts all the time....God bless....p/s Our numbers are still the same, pls drop us a line....we miss you...

The scenario:
I am stranded on an island....a very lonely and virgin island where no one has ever deflower it. How I stranded there? I don't know but somehow or rather i must have been there due to somebody's wish....one consolation.....I am allowed to drag 6 unlucky bloggers to accompany me....Here are the list....whoever's name that on the list, please pack your belongings and report to me within half an hour or else you will be sued (so like National Service hoh?):

1) Lokter - She is a must. Why? Stranded on an island is no joke woh....and you don't expect to be rescued within a day or two...so, we need a doc who can treat us when we fall sick, when somebody goes into labour (this one sure happen wan cos I'm bring both males and females mah)....So, lokter, please bring enough supplies of panadols, gastric pills, epidurals and perhaps some poison too lah...Oh, don't forget to bring antiseptics also....

2) Junoesque - An ex-blogger....No one says I must bring a practising blogger mah....Anyway, she is a must in my life....We can yak yak yak non stop without worrying about being caught by the boss during office hours...Can or not?

3) Ah Boy & Liucas - Sorry lah Lokter and winn....I have to pull your dogs in too....I love dogs and also I need to make my island complete by having human beings and animals....Ah Boy wouldn't be homesick lah cos his mummy is going with me....but Liucas.....hmmmmm.....never mind liucas, I take care of you much better than your mummy....I promise I wouldn't force you to put on a red shawl and dance for us, ok?
One reason why i bring ah boy is because I want to counsel him....Teach him to be a real man...Explain to him how fun is it to pee around the house and sleep on a comforter....

4) Pink Cotton - If I can't have my pillows and nice bed at home, so can't her....that's why I am bringing her....

5) Mr Goober - The world will never be silent liaw with Goober around.....He will come with enough supplies of nuts and we can yak yak the whole night and day while munching his nuts...ooops, I mean the nuts that he bring

6) Zeroimpact - Make sure you bring your shampoo and conditioner so that you can help us to wash our hairs and make it smooth and silky like yours....also, I like his selection of musics....ahh.....some music to serenade us at night....

what I have been doing over the week

I have been soooooo busy over the past few days that I hardly got time to really sit down and enjoy my lonely and quiet birthday...but thanks to some of you who 'accompanied' me over the eve and my birthday.

Cute or not this card? It's from the mad sweet lokter....just in case if you forgot to use your specs while reading my blog, the lil black and white creatures are moo moo......the card is dated 7 Mar but it reached me only on 22 Mar (or rather that's the date I received lah). I suspect one of the main reason cud be that lokter, cos she wrote inside the card that she love this card so much to the extent of having second thoughts about mailing it.........bet she has to quickly sign off and get ah boy to help her post or else she will change her mind and keep it instead...... another reason is that all the cows went to the surprise birthday party first before dropping at my doorstep!

Just came back from KL 2 days ago after a 3-day training at Park Royal. On the 2nd day of our training, we were brought to a site visit at Berjaya Times Square Cosmo World and were given free rides, starting with the mildest of all mild train ride, after which came the roller coaster. I was a bit sceptical about the roller coaster mainly because I am terrified of it and have never get to gather enough courage to sit in one. I did a quick thinking and eventually thought that I should do something out of the ordinary on my birthday eve and boy, I regretted over the decision. Came out feeling so drowsy the whole evening and got myself a nasty bruise on my thigh from the shake! LOL....We were 'invited' to try on the DNA mixer which obviously no one is interested after the roller coaster....

Anyway, the whole adventure was fun and would mind to go back to the theme park but definitely not for the roller coaster anymore...


Oh, I will not be doing justice to the hotel staff at the concierge if I did not talk about a certain helpful staff by the name of Viji. The night before I fly back, I experienced the greatest horror in the life of a shopaholic - My bag is too small for my purchases. It was 12 midnite and there is no way I can go out and get myself another bag. You must be wondering why don't I just buy the next day? Thought of that but I don't have any free period for me to sneak out and buy. So, early the next morning, I went down to the concierge and asked Viji whether he can spare me a box and he quickly replied that he will send one up to my room...Lunch, I went to my room to do a final packing and check out and was I impressed with his service. There, in my room, lies the box and a masking tape and a cotton twine. There, he actually took the extra mile to deliver the tape and string knowing very well I would need them! Kudos to Viji!


The room is fantastic and nicely kept.....and every evening, there will be 2 bars of chocolates on my bed...

Wow! Guess this is the first time I post with more pixs than sentences! Anyway, though a lonely birthday in a hotel all by myself singing "all by myself" and reminding me of Bridget Jones, I am touched with all the never ending calls and messages from friends and families. Love you all, people! Muah!

A True Story

Story telling time

Once, there was this lil girl who started work in an internationally well knowned non-governmental office and there she was surrounded by several huge (literally!) colleagues. Amongst all the many new faces she met, there was this very tall and pretty lady who treated her so well that in no time, they were the best office buddies and was labelled one tall and one short amongst the 'villagers' of the sorrounding areas

Years passed and soon there were forced to go their separate ways due to retrenchment and in no time they were united again in another company...but a short one, I must say....nevertheless, they kept in touch, both physically and spiritually. Never a time passed without one of them buying gifts for the other whenever they go holiday or during birthdays or christmas.

Day gone, night came............10 years has passed and that pretty and tall lady still remains the best of the best friend this lil girl can ever wished....

Today, early in the morning, this lil girl received a call claiming that there's a delivery for her. She briskily made her way to the reception and noticed a bouquet and a cake with her name on it. Suprised, she asked the delivery boy who the sender was....nothing was written and there was this speculation that it could be a secret admirer. Excitedly, she signed off the acknowledgment slip and start flipping the bouquet for an identification........

It's a birthday gifts from the tall and pretty lady to the lil girl.....

All-in-One Post

Be prepared for a short but cramped post today cos I am really so bitchy busy that I don't even have time to breathe. Have been working through the weekends and there are still plenty of works awaiting my completion. Sigh...and to add more sugar to the coffee, I'm flying off this Sunday and will only be back 1 hr before my birthday ends... *hint* *hint*

Why I Blog?

This Lokter tidak habis habis want to tag me wan...It's either her or Ah Boy!! manyak pening ah like that..

Anyway, You all want to know why I blog ah??? 5 reasons some more ah? I actually started my blog for ONE and only ONE reason only....but along the way, I picked up several reasons lah....

My ONE and FIRST reason has a story wan and sure will drive you all to tears....For those cry babies, please leave this blog now, do not continue....for those who insisted on carrying on, please get ready a tissue or hanky or your friend/colleague's sleeves

A very very old dear friend introduced me to the wonderful world of blogging.

I officially launched my blog on 7 July 2005 after much pester from him. Prior to that, I know nuts about blogging...as a matter of fact, I actually despise bloggers cos I thought bloggers are people who likes to show off and also sex maniacs and desperados (hehehehe) ...thanks to him, I was brought out from this shallow thinking and now, after almost 2 years of blogging, I am really thankful to him for this.....Sad to say, I can never thank him in person, neither can I thank him through this blog (unless he is still reading my blog from somewhere else).

After my blog was up, in order to fulfil the tradition of blogging, he and I pestered another dear friend to start her blog which she did but only for a while.....Anyway, to cut a long story short, he did not fulfil his promises to keep in touch with us through the world of blog cos he left us without a word.....and despite our frantic search and fervent prayers for him to come back, sad to say we have lost him in a world of his own...

He will always remained a special person in our hearts and we hope he does the same for us too.....Every year, as my birthday approaches, I have this sad feeling deep inside me thinking about his wherebeings, his whereabouts. Why my birthday u asked? Cos dear readers, we share the same birthday....

It was a very demoralising moment for all of us then and I have thought of quitting blogging cos then he and another friend were the only readers. But then again, why should I act that way since it was never our fault that we lost contact with him....furthermore, I still have another dear friend as my loyal reader! I did not quit, obviously, thus this blog today.

Entering the 2nd to the 5th reason why I blog......
I love talking and since I can't talk so much, I might as well write.....and I love making friends and today, I have a circle (not a big one) of bloggers whose company I enjoys so very much and yes, I am talking about you all.............

Oh, also, I like the idea of secretly searching for some bloggers and ended up knowing that person in real life....

Chinese Character Needed

Hi people!! I need help form those who are conversant in Mandarin....I've been offered another cardmaking project and this time it's a birthday invitation cards and I am looking for a nice chinese character for the meaning Longevity..I understand it is pronounced as "shou".

Tried google search as last resort (Some wise girl's solution to any search....ie, locked door = search google; free fonts = search google)...anyway...I did that and i found thousands of different characters representing that word and I am now lost as to which one is the correct character

Glad if you could email me the nicest artistic character of that word as I need to have it stampmade.

I am really ashamed of myself...I am a chinese by birth but I know nuts about the chinese characters....I don't even know how to write my own name in chinese.

Crap blog

I know, I know.....have not been updating my blog for the past weeks....Reason: One word L-A-Z-Y

Anyway, nothing much happened over the holidays except eating and eating and eating.....I think I have put on a bit of weight despite the claims from other people that I am suffering from bulimia....Oh talking about bulimia, we watched a VCD brought back by brother bear entitled Zoolander starring Ben Stiller and many other famous actors and actresses....heard the movie is banned in malaysia cos the movie features an assasination plan on the prime minister of malaysia.....the funny part is: the supposedly prime minister of malaysia was featured as a chinese apek who speaks only chinese!!!! Either the producer know nuts about malaysia or they are changing the script so as not to offend malaysia....nevertheless, malaysia is offended, thus the ban..

A very funny and dumb movie and with Ben stiller as the main actor, you can be assured of an endless laughter. Catch the trailer here

Btw, Owen Wilson pronounced malaysia as macronesia!! and Ben stiller thought a bulimic is a person who can read minds! LOL

Had my first ever blog meet last Saturday, and the person is none other than the lokter....We had lunch at Elephant and as usual, lokter is engrossed with her phototaking session...A nice person she is!

Yeah, I know, I said yesterday that I shall not be blogging until after CNy but ok, I lie..Sue me lah.... hehehe...

I blogged because I initially has something very gruesome and scary to tell you guys but while logging in to my blogspot, I was forced to upgrade to beta or else I am not allowed to continue. There you have it, talking about freedom of speech, freedom of action blah blah blah.......

So, now I am officially and unwillingly part of the beta.

Ok, back to my original initial blog. Check out one gruesome find. I can't elaborate more cos it is still under investigation. By right, I'm not even suppose to post up the pix but since I luvvvvvvvv you all so much, I decided to go against the law for once and post up this pix. In return, I need you all to keep quiet and not copy this pix and use it as a threat against me. It was really unintentional in my part to have that pix taken. I was thrown basically at the crime scene at the wrong time and am now being made the witness...Sigh...there are just too many happenings lately and this is definitely an avoidable case.

The keeper of the subject has been detained for query and I really hope she can proof her innocence otherwise it will be curry rice for her in jail over the cny holidays...

Btw, just in case if there is a SSPCA volunteer reading my blog, no worries, it is still alive when we let it go....a naughty lizard somemore....When I tried to take a close look at it, to check whether it is still alive, it actually stick out its tongue and kobek me!!

All in a day's leave

I'm anticpating this to be my last post before the CNY, so I'm gonna stuff everything under this one post, so be prepared for a long one. (Caution: For those who hasn't sleep for days, please leave this blog cos u sure to fall asleep along the way) Guess this clause applied to me too...have not been sleeping enough for the past few days prior to V-Day, rushing the cards order and all that...

I took a day's off yesterday to do what I should be doing. Together with my agent, we made 2 wives (not ours, of course) happy by helping their husbands to deliver v day's card and gift to them while the husbands were on travelling. Went to the office of one's wife and the wife was so touched that she blushed and was speechless but thanks to her stupid asshole sourgrape sure a spinster colleague who made such an unflattering comment when she saw the bag. She said" Aiyer, why your husband send gift and not bouquet of flowers wan?? See, see, what's inside?" I was so tempted to stop at her desk and stuff my high heels into her mouth but decided not to considering that I was wearing my sembonia heels and I don't have any spare heels in my car.

That done, we went to have laksa and then shop for clothes. Bought myself 2 very sinful but nice black dress from Inner Secret Boutique. Went home, showed A and he said "Another Lau Foo Tze's wardrobe" (Note: My whole wardrobe is full of black attires and nothing else...no other colours, so the label Lau foo Tze came about)....:-)

We skipped lunch, continue shopping at Urban & Co, U2, G2000 and Hush Puppies....

Afternoon gone, evening came.
Drove to damai beach Resort for our V-Day buffet dinner.....Despite the thousand s of choices of food laid in front of me, I chose to have only 5 major items - oysters, mussels, salmon, prawns and keropok.....had just a small plate of pasta and a piece of cake, that's it....

I know it is unhealthy and sinful but I think I have so much oysters that I dreamt I was Spongebob Squarepants last nite! mms-ed the pix to someone and I bet she was like drooling on her handphone!!!

Shucks! Can't seem to download the 3rd and 4th pixs.....

Btw, I'm lying....doesn't seem such a long post afterall

2007 Valentine's Day Cards Collection

Thanks to my newly appointed marketing agent, Malau, I have now (as at 1055 hrs today, after only 3 hours of launch) 5 cards reserved! Yippee!!!

I still accept orders though (between now and Monday for Kuching and now and this evening for outside Kuching). Note that there is only 2 cards per design cos I don't want to end up like any other brands (not Memory Lane definitely cos they don't have more than 5 per designs if I'm not wrong) that produces hundreds and hundreds of cards of the same design.

I actually intend to do the tag that Oh Ah Boy so kindly tagged me despite my busy schedule but since he said sorry first with that pathetic droopy eyes, I cannot say no....Also, at the same time I have been pestered by people to post the pix of my done hair.....so, in order not to dissapoint everyone, I'm killing 2 ants with 1 feet (cannot kill birds, so change it to ants)

So silky and smooth...I like......My Boss gave me a very funny look this morning! hahaha

Ok, let's do the 5 Things U All Dunno About papercrazy tag thingy.

1) Despite my coldhearted, hardheaded stubborn like ass character, I am a very emotional creature. I can cry over some silly sad movies, I can cry over some sad stories and I can cry for no apparent reasons at times....

2) I'm happy doing things for others than for myself....It gives me pressure pleasure and contentment to see people's happy faces over things that I did for them.

3) I am a depressed person. Sorry, no elaboration

4) I find solace in doing cards and I can forego my sleep, my R&R over cards (that's what I've been doing lately....guess that answers the long cough and flu thingy)

5) I am a loyal friend and confidant.
